Cathy Hamilton is an award-winning journalist, the author of sixteen books and one play, and the creator of Boyfriend in-a-Box,

a novelty gift product that landed her on the Today show, in People magazine and as Cathy Hamilton #3 on "To Tell the Truth."  

 

Cathy conceived and developed BoomerGirl.com, one of the first online communities for boomer-aged women. The site earned the top 2007 EPpy Award (Editor & Publisher/MediaWeek) for Best Newspaper-Affiliated Web Site. Her Sunday humor column earned several awards including "Best Column" from the Kansas Press Association and Suburban Newspapers of America.

Currently, she writes travel and lifestyle features for magazines and volunteers her time interviewing seniors about their life stories for the Lawrence Public Library.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, driving her retired husband to distraction, and teaching their grandsons questionable life skills like sucking spaghetti and eating whipped cream straight from the can. ​
